Dave is the CEO and founder of Simulmedia. He previously founded and ran both TACODA, Inc., an online advertising company that pioneered behavioral online marketing and was acquired by AOL in 2007 for $275 million, and Real Media, Inc., one of the world’s first ad serving and online ad network companies and a predecessor to 24/7 Real Media (TFSM), which was later sold to WPP for $649 million. After the sale of TACODA, Dave served as Executive Vice President, Global Advertising Strategy, at AOL, a Time Warner Company (TWX).

A lawyer by training, Dave served as General Counsel and Director of New Media Ventures at the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association in the early 1990’s.

Mr. Morgan is a Political Science graduate of The Pennsylvania State University and holds a J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law. He is the former chairman and ex-officio member of the board of the International Radio and Television Society (IRTS) and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Advertising Research Foundation. Mr. Morgan, his wife Lorea Canales, and their two daughters live in Manhattan.

Dave Morgan

Phil Guarascio has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PG Ventures LLC since May 2000 where he serves as a marketing and advertising business consultant. He has been a consultant for the National Football League since October 2000 and has been a consultant for the William Morris Agency since October 2001.

For 16 years, Phil was with General Motors where he served as Vice President of Corporate Advertising and Marketing primarily responsible for worldwide advertising resource management, managing consolidated media placement and before that as General Manager of Marketing and Advertising for General Motors’ North American Operations. Phil introduced the GM Card and managed the General Motors corporate brand to a 20 percent increase in customer purchase consideration.

He joined General Motors in 1985 after 21 years with the New York advertising agency, D’Arcy, Masius, Benton & Bowles.

Phil currently serves as Chairman Emeritus at The Advertising Council, Inc. He was the Non-Executive Chairman of Arbitron Inc. from May 2009 until September of this year, when it was acquired by Nielsen. He has been an Independent Director of Arbitron Inc. since March 30, 2001. Phil also served on the Boards of Hot Jobs (sold to Yahoo), Snyder Communications (acquired by Havas), American Film Institute, and IAG, a research company sold to Nielsen.

Phil holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English at Marietta College in Ohio.

Phil Guarascio

Rich Levandov has over 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur, operator, angel investor and venture capitalist involving a variety of cutting-edge, high growth, early-stage technology companies. It was after he co-founded Phoenix Technologies (PTEC), a company that helped launch the PC revolution, and served as an early Vice President at America Online, Inc. that he started his venture capital career.

Rich holds a B.S. from Binghamton University. He codes in PHP and Ruby these days. Rich is active in the Boston, New York City and San Francisco venture and entrepreneurial communities. As a past judge on the MIT 100k business plan competition he remains very active in various organizations on both coasts promoting the creation of new disruptive enterprises.

Rich Levandov

David Levy is the co-CEO of Horizon Sports & Experiences. He was previously the founder of Back Nine Ventures, LLC, a sports consulting and investing firm, and the President of Turner, where he oversaw the company’s leading portfolio of domestic entertainment, kids and young adult networks and businesses, including TBS, TNT, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Boomerang, truTV and Turner Classic Movies (TCM). Levy took on executive oversight for increased investment in original premium content across the portfolio, contributing to 33 Emmy Award nominations for Turner in one year. 

Additionally, he led advertising sales strategy and operations, affiliate sales, programming acquisitions, marketing promotion, interactive television and technology business development for the domestic Turner businesses, as well as CNN and HLN’s ad sales and affiliate sales and Turner Sports’ programming acquisitions, production, marketing, league relations and sports ad sales.

Levy assumed leadership of Turner Sports in 2003 and had numerous accomplishments, including deepening and expanding Turner's media rights and defining the division via its association with premium sports content, brands, and events, including the NBA, Major League Baseball, PGA Tour, and orchestrating a landmark deal with the NCAA for Division 1 men's Basketball Championship (March Madness). Levy also led a significant expansion in digital media and new businesses designed to grow Turner's portfolio, including spearheading Turner's efforts in acquiring the Bleacher Report and the launch of Turner's first U.S. domestic subscription video-on- demand (SVOD) services.

Prior to serving as President of Turner, Levy was President of Sales, Distribution and Sports for the company. Under his leadership, the Turner ad sales division was consistently recognized as the leading television and digital sales organization. Clients acknowledged the division for its creativity in developing innovative and integrated sponsorship ideas across Turner’s vast portfolio of television, digital and mobile platforms that further drive value and exposure for advertising partners.

Levy, who has received numerous awards for his professional achievements during his career, was elected to the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame in 2012.

Tad Smith was most recently the President and CEO of Sotheby’s from March 2015 until he sold it in 2019. Founded in 1744, Sotheby’s is a global company that operates at the intersection of commerce and fine art, jewelry, and collectibles. After repositioning the company’s strategy and reinventing Sotheby’s digitally, Tad sold the famous company for $3.7 billion, which was 17.7x EBITDA and a 61% premium over the prior day’s trading price.

Mr. Smith went to Sotheby’s from another publicly-held company, The Madison Square Garden Company, where he also served as President and CEO. He led MSG in overall strategy and day-to-day operations for its iconic venues including “the world’s most famous arena” and Radio City Music Hall in New York, the “Fabulous” Forum in Los Angeles, the Wang Theatre in Boston and the Chicago Theatre; MSG’s high-profile sports teams including the New York Knicks, Rangers and Liberty, and the Hartford Wolf Pack,; entertainment properties such as the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and the New York Spring Spectacular both featuring the world famous Rockettes; and the leading regional sports networks in the United States (MSG and MSG+).

Prior to joining Madison Square Garden Company, Mr. Smith was President, Local Media at Cablevision Systems Corporation, where his responsibilities ranged from overseeing and growing News 12 Networks (the tri-state area leader in local cable news), to the leading daily newspapers Newsday on Long Island, and amNewYork, the widely circulated free daily. He was also responsible for restoring growth to Cablevision Media Sales by launching and scaling the use of set top box data to drive the company’s advanced television business to a leadership position within the industry.

Previously, Mr. Smith was at Reed Elsevier Group PLC, a worldwide provider of business information, where he was most recently CEO of its U.S. business-to-business division, Reed Business Information (RBI). He had responsibility there for Variety, Interior Design, Publishers Weekly, Multichannel News, Reed Construction Data, BuyerZone and many other print, data, and internet businesses. Before joining Reed Elsevier in 2000, he was an Internet executive at Starwood Hotels and Resorts, a corporate executive in New York and London for music company BMG Entertainment, and an advisor to companies on strategy and performance improvement in McKinsey & Company’s Los Angeles office. He began his career out of college at JP Morgan & Company and then the Rockefeller Foundation, and he was also the former chief of staff of the New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission.

Mr. Smith received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School where he was a George F. Baker Scholar and a Horace W. Goldsmith Fellow. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs, where he received the R.W. Van de Velde Award. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Stern School of Business at New York University, where he has taught the popular course Strategy and Finance for Entertainment, Media, and Technology Companies to more than 1,200 students since 1999. He serves on numerous industry and nonprofit boards and advisory boards. Mr. Smith resides in Palm Beach, Florida and has an apartment in New York City.

Tad Smith

Jon Steinlauf, Chief U.S. Advertising Sales Officer for Warner Bros. Discovery,  brings a wealth of invaluable television advertising experience to Simulmedia’s Board of Directors.

At WBD, Jon oversees one of the largest, most diverse and premium video ad portfolios in the U.S., including Discovery, HGTV, TBS, TNT, Adult Swim, CNN, Turner Sports, Discovery+ and HBO Max.

Prior to being appointed to his current role in 2022, Jon served as Chief U.S. Advertising Sales Officer at Discovery, where he managed sales, developed new and convergent revenue streams, as well as oversaw research, marketing and branded entertainment, pricing and planning, and inventory control. 

Before joining Discovery in 2018, Jon served as President of Advertising Sales at Scripps Networks, successfully elevating Scripps Networks’ reputation with advertisers for being the most upscale cable network group with the most engaged viewers in all of cable. 

Jon also served as Vice President of Advertising Sales for Turner Broadcasting’s TBS and TNT networks (1992-2000) and Director of Advertising Sales at ESPN (1985-89). He began his career as a media buyer at Young & Rubicam. 

Jon has been named six times to Adweek’s “Adweek 50,” an honor that the publication bestows on the top business leaders in advertising and media. He is a graduate of Duke University.

Jon Steinlauf

Brady has over 20 years of experience as a venture capitalist and operating executive in both information technology and biotech. His focus is on early-stage investments and backing talented entrepreneurs.

Previously, he served as a general partner of Masthead Venture Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm that he co-founded in 1997. Prior to Masthead, Brady served as President and COO of Watson Technologies, a venture-capital-backed, privately held telecommunications hardware company, and prior to that, he was the CFO of Alpha-Beta Technology, a publicly held biotechnology company.

Throughout his venture capital career, he has worked with over 75 companies. He currently is a director or observer of many Avalon portfolio companies, including Backupify, Chart.io, Cloudant, Inc., Conjur, Indix, Juliet Marine Systems, Kaltura, Kinvey, Memrise, Nanigans, Pingup, Redbooth, Selectable Media, Simulmedia, The Happy Cloud, Twinstrata and Vook.

Brady holds a B.S. in Finance from Babson College. He is often known by his portfolio companies and peers alike for his leadership and hands-on approach. Brady is passionate about helping companies with all aspects of their growth, from corporate strategy to development, M&A, fundraising, and core operating matters.

Brady Bohrmann

Brad Burnham is a managing partner at Union Square Ventures. He started working in information technology with AT&T in 1979. Brad spun Echo Logic out of Bell Laboratories in 1989 and joined AT&T Ventures in 1993. Brad co-founded TACODA in 2001 before joining Fred to create Union Square Ventures in 2003. Brad majored in political science at Wesleyan University. He is married with two kids and lives in New York City.

Marc Siegel is President, Sales at Simulmedia. He assumed this position in August 2023, having previously served as SVP, Sales. Marc joined Simulmedia from U.S. News & World Report, where he was VP of Advertising. He generated year-over-year double-digit advertising growth, and helped transition the business from traditional print to a standalone digital publisher. Previously, Marc spent over seven years at media agencies Carat, MediaCom, and MediaVest where he worked on blue-chip clients such as Pfizer, Coca-Cola, and 3M. He is a graduate of Williams College and before he embarked on his media career, he played professional hockey for the Pittsburgh Penguins and Detroit Red Wings’ minor league affiliates.

Marc Siegel

Dave Madden is the President of PlayerWON®. PlayerWON® is the first engagement and monetization platform for Free to Play console and PC video games, and EVP, Gaming and OTT for Simulmedia. He is responsible for extending the company’s advertising platform into console/PC video games and OTT platforms. Prior to joining Simulmedia, Dave was the SVP of Global Brand Partnerships at Electronic Arts. In his role with EA, he led the teams that managed all aspects of the game publisher’s sponsorships, in-game advertising solutions and brand partnerships, across mobile, PC, console and esports on a global basis, beginning in 2011. Before EA, Dave was a founding member and EVP of WildTangent, an innovative online games platform company. While at WildTangent, he and his team developed the first “rewarded ad” in video games, BrandBoost, which became the default ad model for mobile video games today. Earlier in his career, Dave was in health and sports publishing with Rodale Press.

A graduate of Princeton University, with a B.A. in History, Dave has done several rotations on the Board of Directors of the IAB and MMA, and also sits on the advisory board of the M-School at Loyola Marymount University.

Pravin Chandiramani is Senior Vice President of Business Development at Simulmedia. A zoologist, behavioral biologist and ad tech entrepreneur, Pravin led data strategy at TACODA and AOL Advertising where he was responsible for developing the audience acquisition and valuation strategy for their digital ad targeting solutions. From 1998 to 2004, Pravin was a technologist focused on new media and Customer Relationship Management, leading projects in vertical publishing and advertising networks. Pravin holds an M.B.A. from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia, an M.S. in Biological Sciences from Fordham University and a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Bombay. For his Master’s thesis, Pravin spent two years observing and analyzing social interactions in baboons. Pravin lives in New York City.

Erica Meyer is the Senior Vice President of Operations & Client Success. She joined Simulmedia in March 2019, serving first as Vice President, Account Management, and leading the larger Account Management team in offering strategy and insights to maximize marketers’ TV campaigns.

Prior to Simulmedia, Erica honed her media buying skills at Midas Exchange, WPP’s corporate trading arm and sister company of GroupM, negotiating schedules across nearly every client category over her nine-year stint. Adam’s media career includes five years on the media buying side of the business placing national TV buys for Apple, Sony PlayStation, Levi’s, and the Eli Lilly pharmaceutical company. He seamlessly moved to sales at ESPN in 2003, eventually covering all mass reach properties at ESPN including Digital, Print, and TV. Adam continued a successful sales career with roles at Google, Turner Sports, and most recently led Digital and Social partnerships at National Geographic where he helped build the revenue model and drive sales for the most followed brand in social media.

Adam Quinn

Jonathan Margiotta is the Vice President of People & Culture at Simulmedia, a role he has held since September 2024. Since joining the company in 2021, he has been instrumental in aligning human resources with business objectives to drive employee engagement, productivity, and an inclusive workplace culture.

In his role, Jon leads HR strategies that support organizational goals, oversees talent acquisition and management, and guides employer branding efforts to attract and retain top talent. He is responsible for recruitment processes, compliance, interviewer training, and compensation analysis, ensuring Simulmedia remains competitive and compliant with employment laws and industry standards. Jon also spearheads the development of comprehensive compensation and benefits programs and uses HR metrics to inform strategic decision-making.

Beyond these core responsibilities, Jon manages employee relations, supports organizational change initiatives, and is committed to fostering a positive work environment that values diversity and inclusion. He actively mentors the HR team, equipping them with the resources they need to succeed.

Before joining Simulmedia, Jon worked as a recruiter at the Phoenix Group, where he specialized in sourcing top talent across industries such as biometrics, finance, fintech, ecommerce, entertainment, data, healthcare, and quantitative finance.

Michelle Leo is the VP of Operational Excellence. She joined Simulmedia in 2013 after 5 years in magazine advertising at MediaMax Network and 2 years in the E-commerce space at LivingSocial. Starting as a Manager of Business Operations, Michelle mastered the intricate logistics of Video Activation - planning, executing and reporting Linear Television campaigns. Over the years, she found creative ways to scale operational efficiency, ultimately turning Simulmedia into a 24-hour global operation. Michelle currently manages three teams in three countries – US, Philippines, and Ukraine – and prides herself on finding creative solutions for Simulmedia’s internal and external stakeholders.

Michelle holds BA in Mass Communication from SUNY Oneonta after pivoting from a major in meteorology, and currently resides in New York’s Hudson Valley.
